Jonny Horsfield

Owner & Creative Director

Jonny founded H2 Yacht Design in London in 1994 after beginning his career under renowned superyacht designers Martin Francis and Donald Starkey. Over the past three decades, he has established H2 as one of the world’s leading superyacht interior and exterior design studios, delivering more than 100 custom superyacht projects for many of the industry’s most prestigious shipyards.

Gianluca Sist

Design Director

Gianluca’s passion for design began at an early age and evolved through his studies in Architecture and Design in Rome. After beginning his career in yacht design in Italy, he joined H2 Yacht Design in London, quickly establishing himself as an integral part of the studio and contributing to a portfolio of prestigious new-build and refit projects.

James Bermudez

Design Director

Having been with H2 Yacht Design almost since the beginning, as Design Director James leads many of the studio’s most complex custom projects. His work is defined by a highly detailed, thoughtful approach to both interior and exterior design, as well as layout planning.

Ruth Thomas

Design Director

Following an early career in high-end residential interiors, Ruth joined H2 in 2009 and quickly developed a passion for yacht design. During her time at the studio, she has specialised in interiors, leading a diverse range of projects across yachts, residential and hospitality. Her strength lies in developing a clear creative vision and carrying it through every stage, from the earliest ideas and design development through construction to final delivery. She balances creativity with a practical understanding of what it takes to bring a complex project and an Owner’s vision to life.

Business Development & Marketing Manager

Krystyna drives business development and marketing strategy at H2 Yacht Design. Based in Nice, she focuses on expanding the studio’s Mediterranean network and elevating its global brand presence.

Serena Lawson Smith

Head of FFE & Refit

Serena has been an integral part of the studio's evolution, working alongside Jonny Horsfield since the very early stages of his career and H2 Design. Her experience spans the entire design journey—from meeting owners at the outset of a project to selecting and placing the final objects on board.
