Scope
Exterior & Interior Design

H2 Yacht Design was commissioned by an existing client to deliver a large-scale luxury yacht designed for self-contained worldwide cruising. The brief called for accommodation and facilities capable of supporting more than 50 passengers, resulting in a highly unusual project that combines the scale and operational capability of a large passenger vessel with the comfort and character of a private yacht.

The completed 125-metre Maryah was built at Elefsis Shipyard in Greece and launched in 2014 before entering service in 2015. Her steel construction, substantial fuel capacity and displacement configuration provide the foundation for long-range operation, while H2 Yacht Design developed both her exterior architecture and interior design.

Designed to accommodate 54 guests across 27 cabins, with a crew of up to 60, Maryah offers an exceptional scale of onboard accommodation. Her six-deck arrangement allows the project to incorporate extensive guest facilities while maintaining the autonomy required for extended global cruising.

The exterior design gives the yacht a powerful yet refined profile, with clean lines and a distinctive raked bow. Inside, H2 Yacht Design created a comprehensive luxury environment designed around the requirements of a large number of guests, while maintaining the sense of exclusivity and comfort expected of a private superyacht.

Maryah is powered by five Caterpillar engines, giving her a top speed of 18 knots, with a substantial 533,000-litre fuel capacity supporting her long-distance cruising capability. Built to SOLAS requirements, the yacht was conceived as a truly self-contained vessel capable of worldwide operation.

The project demonstrates H2 Yacht Design's ability to work at exceptional scale, combining exterior yacht design, interior architecture and operational requirements into a single, highly individual vessel.
