H2 Yacht Design at the Top 100

Taking place in Mayfair, H2 hosted a series of press workshops at the Top 100 launch to showcase the world of design to major media houses; such as The Guardian, The Telegraph, Robb Report, Spears Magazine and CNN to name a few.

Surrounded by some of the world’s premier builders such as Feadship, Lurssen, Oceanco, Fincantieri, Nobiskrug and Benetti – alongside global brokerage house Burgess – H2 was the sole representative of architecture, interiors and external creativity; teasing rare insights into projects spanning both superyachts and explorer.

With a focus on highlighting the exciting new evolution of the industry, along with the changing mindset of the modern superyacht owner, H2 explained how the rapid advancements of technology and build techniques allow shipyards to build whatever demand emerges from the market.

With Top 100 projects such as REV, Andromeda and Al Lusail in their portfolio, the team explained how new sectors are splintering off in the 85m+ superyacht market, offering an insight into two extremes; one a mindset focussed on informality, adventure and toys, the other demand for elegant interiors, space and distinctive, elegant external styling.

“It’s been a very insightful morning,” said Dominque Afacan, an industry expert and respected journalist when speaking to “I’ve met a couple of inspirational people like H2 and Oceanco. In terms of the scale of the event, it’s a lot easier to learn a lot of new things … The workshops and the formatting have been quite good.”
