Launching Amouaje: H2’s Design Vision for the Sanlorenzo 52S

The launch of Amouaje, the latest 52-metre from Sanlorenzo, reflects the continued evolution of the 52Steel series—where generous interior volumes and refined exterior living define a truly modern yachting experience. At just under 500GT, the platform balances scale with intimacy, combining comfort, elegance, and technical precision.

For H2 Yacht Design—whose portfolio spans from the vast 194.9m REV Ocean to semi-custom 52m steel yachts—Amouaje is another expression of its tailored, client-led design philosophy. The interiors are directed by Design Director Gianluca Sist, with a focus on light, materiality, and atmosphere.

“We wanted to create an interior that feels effortlessly calm and immersive—where light becomes a material in itself, shaping the experience throughout the day,” says Gianluca. “Every element is designed to enhance a sense of quiet sophistication, without ever overwhelming the space.”

A soft palette of whites, cream, and champagne details is elevated with subtle turquoise accents in Bougainville silk carpets, creating a calm and luminous interior. Concealed lighting plays a central role, backlit onyx, and illuminated furniture subtly shape each space, enhancing both volume and ambiance. In the beach club, shifting water reflections flood the space with light pouring through the glass ceiling that supports the swimming pool above, adding a dynamic, ever-changing layer to the atmosphere.

At the heart of the yacht, a sculptural staircase clad in 3D leather by D-Tales introduces texture and depth, while bespoke chandeliers by Crystal Caviar add a refined layer of craftsmanship—most notably over the dining area, where a statement ceiling installation becomes a defining feature.

Organic furniture forms soften the architecture, while the exterior spaces extend the experience: a fireplace for evening gatherings, a main deck swimming pool and sundeck Jacuzzi reinforce the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.

With the 52Steel series, Sanlorenzo continues to uphold its reputation for detail, elegance, and technical innovation—and with Amouaje, H2 delivers an interior that is quietly sophisticated, highly considered, and unmistakably contemporary.
