During the design and build of a Superyacht, we often struggle to source products that perfectly fit our requirements. Because of this we often team up with suppliers, modifying their existing products to improve their functionality, adapting them for marine applications.
Until now most of these modified products have remained ‘one-off’ pieces. Much of this development effort is discarded, or worse still, copied by other manufacturers.
To this end Jonny Horsfield has selected partners to assist in the development of products to a volume production level. The benefits are 2 fold, helping reduce cost and allowing the product to become widely available in the market place.
Partners include the UK based lighting manufacturer ‘THE LIGHT CORPORATION’. H2 have used Light Corporation fittings almost exclusively over the last few years. Their product range is both elegant and of high quality, whilst being competitively priced and readily available. They also offer a customisation service, allowing clients to modify their lighting solutions as required.
Together as partners we are developing a new LED range of stainless steel marine fittings that retain the characteristics of their existing halogen range but take advantage of this new technology. This comprehensive product range will offer the diverse selection of fittings required to illuminate a modern super yacht.
Another partner H2 are working closely with is the custom Jacuzzi manufacturer ‘EDECCI’. Following a fruitless search for high quality ‘off the shelf’ hot tubs and jacuzzis for use in the marine industry, Edecci agreed to develop an H2 range. Uniquely, Edecci tubs are available with a high quality tile finish inside as standard. This finish can be customised to suit the clients particular tastes or requirements.
These are just two examples of Industry partnerships. In the months ahead H2 will continue to build new relationships with only the best companies from around the world, to develop and market products designed specifically for the marine Industry.
